Nice warm day of riding with perfectly blue skies. Rode with a friend to a restaurant about 1-1/2 hours away and had a great lunch. On the way back, my friend had the misfortune of laying his bike down. A pick-up truck suddenly stopped in front of him to let pedestrians cross the road. He popped his shoulder out-of-joint, but otherwise not hurt too badly. His bike has a lot of road rash, the engine crash bar is bent and the windshield bracket came loose, but it's not too bad. Very unfortunate way to end a good riding day. I think they didn't release him from the hospital until around 9pm.
