Dancing Magnolia
Much has happened in the last 90 days that hasn't been documented, and much of it won't be. On that note, I acknowledge those that bare their soul without regard to others. But, that's not me. I anticipate somebody, at some point in time could come to know what I've written about them or perhaps my opinion of their situation, and I just don't feel like some things need to be public.
But back to my original statement - much has happened in the first four months of 2024 not the least of which is a change in my career path for the better. I've had to spend some time out-of-state and learn some new processes, but at least up to this point, it's all been an improvement. Time will tell, but I intend to do my part to make it a success.
Time marches on. And the Mrs. is talking about finally laying her career down and enjoying the fruits of her labor. She's worked for the same employer for over 35 years in various positions. That's a fairly impressive feat by today's standards to be sure.
I've had the opportunity to make a few personal changes that while they are of no consequence to others, have had the effect of improving my outlook. I guess, for lack of a better way to express myself, I've granted myself permissions to care less what other's opinion of me is. I am still mindful of constructive criticism and I can't say that I've mastered the David Goggins mindset, but I am making some progress.
I'm becoming generally optimistic more and more - and in spite of all the negativity and frustrating, even evil, events that we are bombarded with today, I'm still attempting to look on the bright side of things and I'm looking forward to better days.
