Mistress Smooth Vulture

Last night after the Mrs. had gone back to work and I finished cleaning up from dinner, I decided to go for a walk in the neighborhood. Not a "smell the roses" kind of walk, but rather a good exercise walk. It was very refreshing. It's been about 7 or 8 months since I last walked the neighborhood.

I had spoken to a few people this week and in the course of our conversation they had mentioned their health issues and what-not. I go to the gym 4 days per week and feel like I do a fair amount of quality exercise, but I've been considering trying to fit in some more cardio in one form or another. I can't do it before work and I use my time after work to do my current exercise routine. As with most things, it becomes a good thought with "no legs".

This time however, I was thinking back to my conversations and realizing that I'm ignoring a very valuable opportunity to continue and maybe improve my health journey while I'm able. There may come a time when I'm unable to do things such as walk in my neighborhood and I'll regret not taking advantage of the opportunities I have now. So, I've committed to taking every chance I get to do something when appropriate and to keep in mind that I don't want to be thinking back and regretting the missed opportunities to maintain and/or improve my health by simply moving.
